2026 Tax Season in the Books: Thank You

by | Apr 29, 2026 | Accounting, Tax

Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

First things first, thank you.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for supporting our team. Thank you for your patience, your feedback, your referrals, and your grace during one of the busiest times of the year.

Tax season asks a lot from everyone. It asks a lot from our team, and it also asks a lot from you. You gather documents, answer questions, learn new systems, wait for updates, review information, sign forms, and trust us with details that matter. We do not take that lightly.

This season brought a lot of wins. Our team worked hard, served a large number of clients, worked through new tax laws, adapted to new software, and continued improving how we process and review returns. We also saw many clients become more organized, more responsive, and more engaged in the process. That made a real difference, and we appreciate it.

We also know this season was not perfect.

Some clients were extended who did not expect to be extended. In some cases, that was because we needed more time on our end. We appreciate your understanding more than you know. An extension is not a failure, but we understand it can still create stress. When that happens, we owe you clear communication, careful work, and a plan to get your return completed as soon as possible.

We also know the move to TaxDome created frustration for some of you. Any software change comes with a learning curve, but that does not make the frustration less real. We heard your feedback. We are reviewing what worked, what did not, and what needs to change before next tax season. Our goal is simple: make the process easier, clearer, and better for you.

After the deadline, I stepped away from the office for a few days to reconnect with my wife, my children, family, and friends. Tax season takes a toll at home, too. That time away also gave me space to reflect on the season. I thought about our wins, our team, our clients, and the areas where we need to improve. That reflection matters because we want to keep getting better.

At Senter CPA, we are fortunate to serve clients who care, communicate, and want to do things the right way. You are the reason our work matters. Even during the moments when our service may not have felt as strong as we wanted it to feel, please know this: we appreciate you.

To every client who filed with us, extended with us, gave us feedback, referred someone to us, encouraged our team, or simply trusted us for another year, thank you.

As we move into the months ahead, we remain committed to supporting you beyond filing season. Tax planning, business decisions, accounting questions, advisory work, and year-round support all matter. We are here for those conversations.

We are grateful you have chosen to be part of the Senter CPA family. We hope the months ahead bring you calm, clarity, and time to enjoy the things that matter most.

If you need anything, please reach out. Our TEAM is here for you.

With sincere gratitude,

Matthew R. Senter, CPA

National Reading Month at Senter, CPA

March is National Reading Month, and it’s a reminder of something simple but incredibly powerful: books change lives.

Most of us can remember our favorite childhood story. You know the one we asked to hear again and again before bedtime, or the book that first made reading feel fun instead of like homework. Those early moments matter more than we often realize. They help children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

That’s one of the reasons Senter, CPA has chosen to support the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Sharing Online Banking with Your Accountant

To allow your accountant access to your bank’s online banking system, follow these general steps. This typically involves navigating to a “User Management” or “Account Access” section, where you can add a new user and set permissions—usually “view-only” for accountants.
