Tax Return Process

At Senter, CPA, we strive to make your tax preparation process seamless and efficient. Here’s an overview of our updated tax return process for the 2025 tax season: (2024 tax returns)

Step 1: Client gathers tax documents

  • Complete your online tax questionnaire via your Client Portal or via paper if your organizer and questionnaire was mailed to you
  • Upload your tax documents via your Client Portal or drop them by our office

Step 2: Lisa will scan physical documents or move them to the correct file location (you will no longer see the documents uploaded to your Client Portal once we have moved them to our side)

Step 3: Tax Return Preparation

  • Assignment: Your tax return will be prepared by one of our experienced team members: Tracy Sanda, Jordan Middleton, Kelly Thompson or Matt Senter.
  • Communication: If we need further details, we’ll reach out via email, phone, or set up a video meeting.

Step 4: Tax Return Review Process

  • Matt Senter will thoroughly review your previous returns and current documents to ensure accuracy and identify potential deductions.

Step 5: Client Review and E-Signature

  • Draft Review: Once prepared, you’ll receive a draft of your tax return to review via your Client Portal or a hard copy upon request .
  • E-Signature: After your approval, you can electronically sign the necessary forms through our secure system.

Step 6: Client pays invoice

Step 7: Your return is e-filed

  • Submission: We will electronically file your tax return with the IRS and applicable state authorities.
  • Acknowledgment: Typically, within 24-48 hours, you’ll receive confirmation that your return has been accepted.

Step 8: Lisa confirms successful transmission to the IRS and applicable state authorities

 

Post-Filing Support
