  • Credit or Debit Card Payments: Pay your taxes using a credit or debit card through authorized service providers. Note that processing fees apply.
  • Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS): A free service enabling both individuals and businesses to pay taxes online or by phone. Registration is required, but you can easily login in to check prior payment history.
  • IRS2Go Mobile App: Download the official IRS mobile app to make payments, check your refund status, and access tax records.
  • Payment Plans: If you’re unable to pay your tax bill in full, apply for a payment plan to make monthly installments.
  • 2025 Printed Estimated Tax Vouchers: If you prefer, you can print and mail payments with a check. Be sure to include your complete Social Security number(s) and the appropriate tax year on the front of the check.

Michigan State Tax Payments (Form MI-1040):

  • Michigan Department of Treasury e-Payments: Make individual income tax payments electronically via e-Check, debit, or credit card. Processing fees may apply for certain payment methods.
  • 2025 Printed Estimated Tax Vouchers: Alternatively, you can mail a check or money order with your return. Ensure it’s payable to the “State of Michigan” and includes your complete Social Security number(s) and the appropriate tax year on the front.

What are QCD’s?

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are a tax-efficient way for eligible IRA owners to support charitable organizations while managing taxable income. Individuals who are age 70½ or older may donate up to $108,000 in 2025 directly from a traditional IRA to a qualified charity. When structured properly, a QCD is excluded from taxable income, may satisfy Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) requirements, and can help reduce overall tax liability.
