Matthew Senter, CPA
FOUNDER
Matthew Senter grew up in a small-town south of Nashville, Tennessee, where he started his career before moving to Clarkston, Michigan with his family in 2012. Prior to founding Senter, CPA, P.C., he worked as a staff accountant for several very well-respected firms in Franklin, Tennessee and Southfield, Michigan; all of whom had clients across the country and abroad. Matthew has always possessed a passion for numbers. He values working closely with his clients to service their needs with accounting, consulting, tax preparation and planning from start-up to multi-millions in revenue.
Matthew’s clients range from individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profits, trusts, and employee benefit plans. His industry experience includes medical and dental practices, manufacturing, retail, service, health care, restaurants (including franchises), construction, real estate, entertainment, and transportation, among others. Matthew also has substantial experience with IRS, State and Local audit representation.
Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife Cassie and their three young children: Ben, Waylon, and Charlotte. In his spare time, you can often find him watching University of Tennessee Football, hunting, fishing with his family, or enjoying the great outdoors. Matthew is a member of the Oakland County Sportsman’s Club, Ducks Unlimited, among others.

Lisa Haiss
Office Manager
Lisa grew up in a small town, an hour and a half south of Clarkston. She, her husband Eric, and their two sons settled in Clarkston in 2012, after 3 years of multiple relocations. They were in search of a “hometown” that offered their family great schools, churches and a community with a small-town feel. They are proud to call Clarkston home.
Lisa has made her family a priority for over 18 years by handling one of the most difficult roles available, stay-at-home mom. Her professional background is in the IT industry creating custom database applications for Ford Motor Company and various other small businesses around the United States.
Lisa enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. She sponsors and supports each activity her children are involved in. When all others are busy, you will most likely find her on the golf course. In her down time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, gardening, and a glass of wine.
Kelly Thompson
Staff Accountant
Kelly grew up in a small city, an hour south of Clarkston. She and her husband moved to the area in 2012 and they have loved it from day one.
Kelly graduated from The University of Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She worked in the financial industry through college and until her first child was born. Most recently, she was a treasurer for a local sporting goods store. Prior to that, she was an Accounting Clerk for a financial company that handled all of the accounting needs for clients from start to finish.
Kelly enjoys spending every bit of her time with her young children, husband, extended family, and friends. When her kids are in school and husband is working, Kelly likes to go horseback riding, scrapbooking, and enjoys planning. When her family is home and not working, they keep Kelly busy with biking, hiking, boating – some say she likes to go tubing more than her kids! She also likes to watch her family fish, play sports with her family, and just about everything together.
Kelly will be working with the Senter CPA team as a Staff Accountant.

Cassandra Senter
Project Manager
Cassie Senter grew up in Waterford, MI. She attended Waterford Mott High School, and then received her Associate degree in Liberal Arts at Oakland Community College. Over the past 15+ years, Cassie has held many different roles in the IT industry, including Help Desk, Help Desk management, systems administration, project management, and many more. She has also assisted other local accounting firms with installing and setting up their accounting applications.
Cassie will be working with the Senter, CPA team to keep all their projects moving along smoothly, making sure the firm’s IT needs are met, and assisting with social media and community events.
Cassie enjoys spending her time with her three children: Ben, Waylon, and Charlotte. She also enjoys reading, crafting, and many outdoor activities, such as hiking with her family and gardening.
Jordan Middleton
Senior Tax Accountant
Jordan grew up in a very small city, about an hour north of Clarkston. Jordan graduated from The University of Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She worked in the retail and financial industries through college. She began her career in the public accounting industry in 2017, specializing in dental accounting and tax preparation from start to finish. Jordan is well versed in corporate tax and has recently earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
Jordan enjoys spending every bit of her time with her young children, husband, extended family, and friends when not working. In her spare time, you can find Jordan crafting, gardening and in her flower beds.
Jordan will be working with the Senter CPA team as a Staff Accountant.
Tracy Sanda
Senior Tax Accountant
Tracy started her accounting career right out of High School working in various accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping roles. To advance her career she completed two accounting certificates and two associates degrees at Oakland Community College before obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting, both from Walsh College. Since obtaining her advanced degrees her focus has been on helping clients with their individual, corporation, partnership, non-profit, and trust tax needs, and Studying for the CPA Exam
Tracy enjoys spending time with her children, husband, and french bulldog (Cruella). With all the amazing lakes around Michigan she spends a lot of time enjoying water sports and relaxing on nearby beaches.
