2026 Clarkston Rotary Wine Party: Come Hang Out With Us

by | Oct 8, 2026 | Accounting, Tax

I can think of worse ways to help local kids than spending a Thursday night eating, drinking, bidding on stuff you probably do not need, and hanging out with 350 to 450 of your favorite Clarkston friends.

The Clarkston Rotary Annual Wine Party is back on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clarkston Bordine’s.

Cassie and I will be there, along with most of the Senter CPA team, and we would love to see a bunch of familiar faces join us.

Taste Your Way Around the World

This year’s theme is Taste Your Way Around the World.

Expect wines from around the world, spirits, beer, and food from many of the same local favorites you have seen in years past, including Via Bologna, Parker’s Hilltop Brewery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Crispelli’s, Square One Eats & Treats, River Rock Grille, Hamlin Pub, Buffalo Wild Wings, and more.

Come hungry. Come thirsty. Bring friends.

It Is a Great Party, but It Also Does a Lot of Good

Cassie and I are both active members of the Rotary Club of Clarkston, so this event is personal for us.

A big part of what we love about Rotary is the work it does for kids in our community.

Cassie is heavily involved with Shoes for Kids, and we are both involved with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Events like this help fund those programs, scholarships, and other Rotary projects.

So yes, it is a fun night out.

But it also helps do some real good close to home.

We Need Auction and Raffle Donations Too

We’re also collecting items for the silent auction and raffle tables.

Anything goes.

Gift cards, products, services, tickets, bottles, merchandise, experiences, finished baskets, or something from your business.

There is no minimum value. If your item does not make sense on its own, we can combine it with other donations. Anything paired with a bottle of wine will do will on the auction block for this event.

Please drop donations off at Senter CPA by October 16 so we have time to get everything ready for event night.

Tickets

Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door.

Hard-copy tickets are available at the Senter CPA front desk. Anyone on our team can help you. Cash or check only for tickets purchased at our office.

If you want to use a debit or credit card, buy online through the Rotary Club of Clarkston:

Come Join Us

Grab your tickets, bring us something for the auction table, and come hang out with Cassie, me, and the Senter CPA team on October 22.

It is a fun night, a good crowd, and a great cause.

See you there.

Matt

Small Business Scams to Watch Out for This Fall

What To Do If You’re Behind on Your Taxes

Falling behind on your taxes can feel overwhelming, but addressing the issue promptly is the best way to minimize additional penalties and interest. Ignoring unpaid taxes rarely makes the problem go away, and the IRS offers several options to help taxpayers resolve their balances. At Senter CPA, we work with individuals and business owners to develop practical solutions and navigate the IRS resolution process with confidence.

Planning Ahead: Small Steps That Can Save Big Later

Even in the middle of tax season, it’s not too late to make moves that can save your business money and headaches down the line. Many business owners get caught up in the day-to-day and wait until the very end to think about taxes. The truth is, a few small steps now can make a big difference later.

Business owners understand that receipts are everywhere and also can seemingly end up nowhere to be found.

Are Unused Subscriptions Costing You Money?

As household expenses continue to rise, identifying unnecessary recurring charges is a practical way to improve cash flow without making significant lifestyle changes. Many consumers unknowingly pay for subscriptions they no longer use, forgot to cancel after a free trial, or no longer find valuable. While individual charges may seem insignificant, the combined annual cost can amount to hundreds of dollars.
